What is Urbanisation?

Urbanisation looks at the shift in the amount of people moving from rural to urban areas, and the ways in which society adapts to these changes. It results in the physical growth of urban areas from various push and pull factors.

Some of the key reasons why China is rapidly moving into Urbanisation are:

• There is a oversupply of cheap labour meaning people are moving to cities for more oppurtinuties.
• Oversupply of cheap labour also increases the value of high end jobs thus increasing the value of a diploma / degree.
• China's overall economy and population are moving into being middle class citizens.
• An Average citizen has more money to spend.
